		<description>Fran, thank you for this comment. Bergman's 7th Seal is one of my favorite films. You are immediately drawn into the story even though the setting is remote in time and space and the dialogue is in Swedish. It is an amazing blend of piety (the minstrels see the Virgin and are spared from the plague), enlightenment (the knight's disillusionment with the crusades and the repellent depictions of witch burning and self-flagellation), and agnosticism (not even Death know if God exists)! Max Von Sydow's portrayal of the disillusioned still questing knight was flawless.</description>
