LOST in a Treehouse of Horror

Posted by Ivan Osorio

We thought President Reagan had killed it, but it keeps coming back — “it” being the Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST), which Reagan rejected in 1982 as unduly encroaching on U.S. sovereignty. Now, fittingly, like a zombie refusing to die, LOST is on the schedule for the Senate Foreign Relations Committee’s next business meeting, this coming All Hallow’s Eve.

Were the Senate to ratify LOST, Kang and Kodos would be quite envious of the U.N. . In their various attempts to conquer the Earth, they never managed to accumulate this much power.
