The environmentalists that applaud the demise of incandecent bulbs are typical of the myopic thinking of their ilk. The environmental damage done to make and dispose of CFLs with their mercury and gases is typical not seeing the forest because the the trees block the view. The energy consumed to manufacture them far outweighs what will be saved. DUH!

These bulbs work poorly at low temperatures. In my unheated garage I had to replace all my new florecent bulbs with old fashoned incandecent bulbs.
