I doubt eco-terrorist Jose Bove’s decision to hunger strike earlier this month actually had an impact, but the French have now imposed a moratorium on plants bred with molecular plant breeding techniques. The World Trade Organization deemed the EU’s moratorium illegal and a trade barrier, and the EU’s scientific and public health concerns to be without merit.
