		<description>Denny, I agree generally with your sentiment but where do you figure converting grass lands to corn fields would increase CO2 emissions?  Corn, because of its larger size would extract more CO2 than grass.  Forested areas on the other hand would extract more CO2 than corn.  Like you though, I would like to see an end to subsidies which would remove food producing land from the national pool.</description>

		<description>Besides the increased food cost and decrease in supply, the environment will suffer.  Trees and grasslands will be converted into corn fields and the result will be increased carbon dioxide emissions.  There are many articles that pertain to this subject.  We may be creating a disaster that will take several years to repair....that is, once the politicians admit that there is a problem of their making.</description>
