Verizon Settles Early Termination Fee Case

Ars reports that Verizon has just settled a case claiming that the company violated California law by imposing early termination fees on the customers that choose to violate their contracts by leaving before they’re up. We’ve earlier discussed why early termination fees are good for customers and why regulation will only hurt them. Let’s hope that Verizon’s settlement doesn’t portend a new bout of anti-ETF hysteria.
