A lawyer is suing Google because his ads didn’t generate any business for him. The attorney, Hal Levitte, placed ads with Google and paid by the click - as is Google’s policy. But none of the clicks from some sites, namely domain placeholders and error pages, generated any business. So, rather than improving his ads, Levitte is suing. Though I’m not sure exactly what Google promises its ad buyers, it sounds like Levitte is just over-litigating.

There is a basic problem with Google’s business model. Their revenue comes from ads that don’t work and people are figuring that out.
Perhaps if the ads were better-targeted, they would work better. See Wayne Crews’ and Ryan Radia’s C:\Spin:

Also, Google charges per click. If your website isn’t effective at generating business when people see it, that’s really not Google’s fault; it’s yours.
