XM-Sirius, Dish-DirecTV Update
Posted by Alex Harris
Yesterday, I reported on the conclusion of the XM-Sirius merger and what it says about the fate of the potential Dish-DirecTV merger.
Now, there are updates. At the Technology Liberation Front, Heritage’s James Gattuso discusses in depth the lengthy XM-Sirius process and compares the merger review processes of the FCC and the DoJ. At the same site, our very own Ryan Radia goes into great detail about the benefits of - and competitive checks on - a potential Dish-DirecTV merger.
If you’re interested in either merger or in the FCC’s role in hampering consumer-friendly deals, be sure to check out both pieces.
