Organic Food Waste … of Your Money

There is a great piece in Today’s Financial Times authored by Michael S. Kapinker, which is related to an issue raised in my post last week.  It addresses the organic food issue, pointing out that, during a recession, it makes good sense to buy conventional. He notes, its probably a good idea at any time based on the science. It’s worth taking a look.

Good Idea 20% sales taxes on food advertised as either "Organic" or "Natural" and a 10% kicker for anything advertised as “all"

Except for salt and water, I do not know of a food that is not organic compounds. Let people who are dumb enough to buy "all natural organic" tofu pay fifty percent more.

Being gullible should have a price.
